The Alb and the Alb valley - a dream landscape. The small river that gives the romantic valley its name has its source on the Feldberg, the highest peak in the Black Forest, and flows into the Albsee lake south-east of St. Blasien.

This reflects the beauty of the valley - an oasis of peace, a place to linger. The hiking trail around the Albsee is dominated by tranquillity and, of course, the impressive backdrop of the varied landscape.

As it is a reservoir, the Albsee is not suitable for swimming.
