The Brisgoven Chapel is also known as the Brisgoven Chapel of St Augustine.
The Freiburg student fraternity "Brisgovia" had the chapel built in 1926 as a memorial to students who died in the First World War (later also in the Second World War). From the pillar-supported porch, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the wooded heights beyond the Schluchsee. The small gable bears a mosaic of the chapel's patron saint, St Augustine, bishop and Doctor of the Church.
