The small prayer room is made entirely of wood, with no iron nails holding the 200-year-old structure together. The large altarpiece shows Mary mourning her son, who has been taken down from the cross, in her arms. Above her in the small picture is John the Baptist. With his right hand, he points to a lamb symbolising Jesus Christ: "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world" (John 1:29).
