The chapel was built in 1958 to replace the old court chapel.
The chapel houses the Pieta and the bell from the old court chapel. A statue of St Nicholas of the Flüe, the patron saint of the country folk, and the ringing of the bell three times a day bear witness to the strong connection to rural life.
