Gradually, the group took on a standardised appearance and also embodied the figure of the Löffingen Walpurgnisnacht during parades during the day. A special feature of the group that has survived to this day is the large witch, which was carried in the parade in Löffingen for the first time in 1958.
At a height of 5.80 metres, it did not even fit through the Milan Gate at the time. Over the years, the imposing witch has been gradually improved and adapted to its current appearance. The flashing eyes and howling siren are still a trademark of the Löffingen witches that can be recognised and heard from afar and are enjoyed by young and old alike.
