After the Friedenweiler Fools' Association was "launched" in 1967, the creation of a carnival figure was soon included in the considerations and discussions at the board meetings. Thus, on 7 October 1973, the proposal to create a mask and certain ideas about it were expressed for the first time - the Wurzelbruder was created.
In 1992, the Friedenweiler Fasnet was to be enriched by another figure. The women of Friedenweil had been thinking about creating their own figure for a long time, as the Wurzelbruder was only reserved for men and they had always been entitled to a large share of the Friedenweiler Fasnet.
