The wooden chapel in Eisenbreche has now been standing for 70 years, but it was built in the middle of the 18th century.
For centuries, this little chapel stood on the original Schluchsee and was the court chapel of the "Seehof" inn. When the lake was dammed, the chapel was taken on a raft across the now dammed lake and over land to the Eisenbreche and rebuilt there. However, the "Seehof" inn and the neighbouring "Paulihof" were submerged in the waters of the dammed lake.
