St. Elisabeth lies beneath the Schuppenhörnle Mountain (1,096 m high) and was built in 1966 as a private chapel for the Feldberg-Falkau family holiday home.
The architecture of the chapel is based on that of a Black Forest House: It has a low, tent-like roof structure and the entrance is similar to the “lfahr” – the entrance to a Black Forest House. The 14 m high ridge turret has the shape of a Black Forest pine.
