The association "Uhr & Kultur e.V." is recognised as a non-profit organisation. It was entered in the register of associations in 1992 under the name "Verein zur Förderung des kulturellen Lebens e.V.". However, it had already been organising cabaret evenings in the "Alte Färbe" guild hall for several years before that.
After six years, it moved to the factory building on Straßberg, which had been renovated by the association, and the "Kulturfabrik Straßberg" was born. At the same time, the association was renamed "Uhr & Kultur e.V.".
In 2010, the association moved to its current domicile "Kulturfabrik Furtwangen" at Bismarckstraße 9, centrally located in the city centre and with plenty of parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.
After more than 25 years of organising the International Antique Watch Fair, the association handed over responsibility to the town of Furtwangen on 1 January 2018. From this point onwards, the association will focus exclusively on organising the programme for the cabaret stage in Bismarckstraße.
Thanks to the perfect stage technology and cosy ambience, every event here is a very special experience for visitors.
