Particular importance is attached to political education, which does not pursue either instruction or party politics and promotes a general commitment to democratic values, human rights and against fundamentalism. In the learning spaces on offer, students can experience and develop their ability to make judgements and take action. The programme offered by the "Politics - Society - Environment" department is broadly based and covers political, social, economic, ecological, legal, historical, psychological and educational topics. Education for sustainable development, environmental education and global learning are essential social tasks. The adult education centres offer a wide range of information, discussion and active action. The events are characterised by an open exchange of ideas between committed people, in factual and controversial discussions, for the joint development of knowledge and background information, using exciting and creative methods.
