Muchenland - a spot steeped in history, originally settled by two glass masters in 1597 and later the site of a glassworks, which was relocated to Althütte in 1622.
Situated slightly off the beaten track on the edge of the forest, it is the starting point for typical Black Forest hikes with great views around Blasiwald, a typical scattered settlement with wide meadows, steep slopes and secluded farms.
