A footpath begins on the right at the entrance to the Felsenkellere, which climbs the steep slope of the monastery forest (granite) and leads over a distance of 500 metres to the water treading area, which dates back to the time of the "Kneipp health resort Friedenweiler". The spring water was used by the FF. Klosterbrauerei brewery, and the name Märchenwald was coined by the children of the Caritas children's home, which was housed in the monastery building until the early 1980s and revitalised the community with its beautiful surroundings. In 2014, the site was restored by a senior citizens' initiative and is well worth a visit.
