Japanese Garden: Uniquely situated at 850 metres above sea level, the Bonndorf Adventure Garden invites you to actively experience the four elements of earth, water, air and fire. Between castle fountains, historic boundary stones and old trade routes, it is a special excursion destination in the Black Forest.
Carnival tradition: Bonndorf is a centre of the Swabian-Alemannic carnival. In the carnival parlours in the castle, you can marvel at more than 400 original miniature carnival figures.
Black Forest ham: The Adler butcher's shop has been based in Bonndorf for more than 100 years. Today, the small family business has grown into one of the most important producers of Black Forest ham
Bonndorf and its suburbs
Gündelwangen: You can reach the Wutach Gorge from Gündelwangen by hiking bus or on foot. The popular Southern Black Forest cycle path also runs along the ridge above the Wutach Gorge.
Wellendingen: Today's Blattert Mill emerged from the former flour mill on the Ehrenbach. Here you can shop for baking ingredients and fresh baked goods to your heart's content, but also brush up on your baking skills at baking courses and relax in the café with a slice of homemade cake.
Dillendorf : Dillendorf was first mentioned in a document in 797, making it one of the oldest villages in the Black Forest Highlands. The huge rock on the B315 at the Dillendorf sawmill is striking.
Wittlekofen: Not far from the village, which lies south of Bonndorf in the Steinatal valley, are the Roggenbach castles. These are the ruins of the Steinegg and Roggenbach castles, which can be visited on a hike and offer picturesque views.
Holzschlag: The former woodcutters' settlement is now located on the popular Bähnle cycle path and is home to the Herb adventure apiary. For families, we recommend a hike along the "Via Apis" bee trail with exciting hands-on stations and a playground.
Boll: Boll offers two entrances directly into the heart of the Wutach Gorge. The glamorous spa resort of Bad Boll once existed nearby and was completely renaturalised after falling into disrepair.
Ebnet: This small village is located on a plateau near the famous Rothaus brewery. The highlight of the annual calendar is the St. Anna Festival around the Kohlplatzhütte.
Brunnadern: As the name of the village suggests, it is located in a side valley of Bonndorf with many springs. It is the smallest district of the municipality and has fewer than 100 inhabitants.
