Dorfgasthaus "dasrößle"
The cooperative village inn is a historical monument dating back to 1783 which was completely renovated and reopened on 18 January 2013 after years of standstill.
An interest group founded in 2010 set up a cooperative on 14 October 2011 and acquired the property in January 2012. In the course of 2012, the listed Black Forest house was completely cleared out and the agreed construction measures for the full renovation were implemented. As mentioned, the historic village inn was then able to open on schedule.
The intention of making the inn available again as a cultural and social meeting place for the village population as well as for guests from near and far has succeeded. The typical Black Forest house is also the filming location and backdrop for the SWR family series ‘Die Fallers’ as well as for the post-war film ‘Ende der Schonzeit’ which was shown in the cinema.
The village inn offers a wonderful charm and a rustic ambience thanks to its history. The old and traditional restaurant furniture was saved despite suboptimal ergonomics.
The Dorfgasthaus has around 53 seats in two open-plan dining rooms and 43 seats in the hall, which is equipped with state-of-the-art communication and soundproofing technology for events of all kinds. LAN/ WLAN are available for our room guests.
The Dorfgasthaus prepares and serves regional Baden dishes itself. Our suppliers are from the region, meat, cheese and spirits also from local farmers.
In the quiet, sunny and well-designed garden there is a cosy garden restaurant with 45 seats which is also used for additional events.
Since May 2014 we have 7 quietly located and beautifully designed comfort rooms for our guests. More information under guest rooms!
