The climatic health resort of Menzenschwand lies in a high valley at the foot of the Feldberg, right on the edge of the largest nature reserve in Baden- Württemberg. The youth hostel, a former farmhouse, is situated at an altitude of 860 metres in the district of Vorderdorf in a 360-year-old Black Forest house.
