The lake can be reached by foot from the vacation apartment in just 10 minutes.
The Seerundweg trail, the Jägersteig trail, the Amalienruhe viewpoint and the Riesenbühlturm tower offer a variety of views of the lake. The Aqua Fun outdoor pool - located directly on the lake - offers refreshment in summer with a giant slide, current channel and children's adventure playground.
Thanks to the Konus Card, which is included with this vacation apartment, you can experience the Black Forest by bus and train free of charge.
The Schluchsee used to be a glacial lake and was dammed up around 90 years ago. This made it the highest dam in Germany. The lake has developed into a bathing and water sports center in the southern Black Forest. Fans of fishing, diving, stand-up paddling, surfing and sailing will find first-class sporting opportunities. In summer, those seeking peace and quiet can enjoy the long beaches.
The beautiful landscape around the lake is ideal for wonderful hiking and biking tours. The Schluchsee is also connected to the Schluchtensteig trail.
