Naturerlebnishof Präg
Our Naturerlebnishof Präg is located in the Black Forest Highlands, 35 minutes from Freiburg, south of the Feldberg and east of the Belchen.
The Präg glacier basin, which belongs to the municipality of Todtnau, corresponds to the area of the nature reserve of the same name, which begins directly behind our farm and is also the core zone of the large-scale nature conservation project ‘Feldberg - Belchen - Oberes Wiesental’.
The area, with its diverse cultural and natural landscape, has a special character and beauty. The last ice age, the Würm Ice Age, has left numerous traces where six individual glaciers converged.
These extensive, extensively used pastures are characterised by a great diversity of species and structures, with a large number of rare and endangered animal and plant species, such as cat's paw, silver thistle, arnica and white wood hyacinth, a type of orchid. The pastures are interspersed with a mosaic of small stone bars and scree slopes, wetland biotopes and ancient-looking willow beeches. This mosaic of biotopes is the habitat of the extremely rare rock bunting. The last habitats of this shy bird can be found here.
Our Hochkopf holiday flat is very spacious with around 120 square metres of living space: Living and dining room, 3 cosy bedrooms, large bathroom and kitchen. Equipped with a beautiful fitted kitchen, it offers plenty of space for up to 5 adults. A spacious seating area in the garden with barbecue etc. is available for the beautiful summer days.
