Nestled in the heart of the "Southern Black Forest" Nature Park, Waldhotel Auerhahn is situated in a secluded location 1,080 meters above sea level at the Weißenbach Saddle. Located between Todtmoos and the eastern edge of the Todtnau holiday region, our hotel is a direct stop on the eastern route of the famous "Westweg" hiking trail, home to the "Gateway to the Wehratal." From our doorstep, it is only a 30-minute drive to the Feldberg or Belchen peaks, and the "Black Forest Capital" of Freiburg can be reached in about 45 minutes.

The hotel features 13 lovingly designed themed rooms, a cozy restaurant, and our exclusive "Auerhahn-Stüble" VIP room, reserved specifically for our hotel guests. Relax in our spaciously extended and newly redesigned sauna area, open daily from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Professional massages are also available for booking (please refer to our website for details). Free parking is provided for all guests in our private hotel parking lot.

The nearby town of Todtmoos (6 km away) offers shopping facilities (e.g., Edeka) as well as ATMs for Sparkasse and Volksbank. For those traveling by public transport, three bus stops are located directly at the hotel.

Depending on the time of year, our hotel serves as the perfect starting point for short walks or extensive hikes, cross-country skiing, and alpine skiing in winter. From spring to late autumn, the area is ideal for motorcycle, cycling, and mountain bike tours.
For a truly unique experience, leave your daily routine behind and explore the landscape on horseback. We offer guided tours of varying lengths and difficulty levels (1 to 4 hours) on our own Friesian horses: Shirkahn, Tashino, and Shadow.
