History was written at the traditional Gasthof Schneckenhof: The world's first ski lift was built here. Even today, the house tells of that special time when spa guests from all over the world travelled to the valley to marvel at Robert Winterhalder's pioneering invention.
The Schneckenhof still retains its original charm and offers a unique atmosphere for anyone looking for peace, nostalgia and authenticity. The long history of the house goes back an impressively long way - the "Herbergs- und Wirtschaftsgerechtigkeit" has existed since 1529.
A piece of living tradition also awaits you in culinary terms: look forward to Black Forest specialities and honest, regional cuisine, prepared with fresh local ingredients and a great deal of attention to detail.
We look forward to welcoming you here!
Your Winterhalder family.
