Menzenschwander Hütte – Delight and tradition on the Feldberg
For over 100 years, the Menzenschwander Hut has been a popular meeting place for walkers, cyclists, winter sports enthusiasts and those seeking a bit of a treat. Set amidst the impressive natural scenery of the Feldberg, it offers a magnificent view of the ‘Grafenmatt’. Whatever the season, the hut is the ideal place for a relaxing break – whether after a strenuous hike or as the destination of a leisurely outing.
In 2022, siblings Andreas, Matthias, Lukas and Julia Jünger took over the traditional mountain inn, carried out extensive renovations and reopened the Menzenschwander Hütte in October 2023 following a year of refurbishment.
Black Forest cuisine with a regional focus
The menu features honest, authentic Black Forest cuisine with a clear local focus. Craftsmanship and quality play a central role: potatoes are freshly peeled and salads are chopped by hand. Bread and cakes come from the in-house bakery and are freshly baked every day. Soups and stews are made according to traditional family recipes – hearty, regional and prepared with great care.
A space for enjoyment – indoors and outdoors
The dining room can seat up to 85 guests. On the spacious terrace, a further 200 people can enjoy the view of the Feldberg. The combination of a cosy atmosphere and stunning natural surroundings makes the Menzenschwander Hütte a special destination.

How to get to the Menzenschwander Hütte
Access is via the mountain pass road directly beneath the ski bridge – the road leads straight to the hut. Parking spaces for restaurant guests are available right next to the building.
The Menzenschwander Hütte is wheelchair accessible.
There are currently no overnight accommodation facilities available.
