Directions
You glide along easily for the first few kilometres. You are still on the easy "Bergwiesen" cross country trail, which passes close to the small hill called "Zelgle" (806 m). The tracks soon separate. You follow the red-marked trail over the heights of "Birkendorf". The sugared "Bühl" rises slightly to the right. The terrain is flat to slightly sloping at the top. You leave the "Bühl" behind you and your gaze glides over the snow-covered gem of "Birkendorf". Near the edge of the village, you can extend your cross-country skiing tour with an enjoyable loop. The way back is slightly uphill. At the end, you come back to the "Bergwiesen" trail. Before you reach your destination, you can catch a beautiful view of the village.
The tour can be extended at the bottom end of the "Bühlloipe" trail. A connecting track provides access to the cross-country ski trail network near "Ühlingen" if there is enough snow.
