This varied circular hike begins and ends in the picturesque district of Brunnadern and combines charming village paths with natural trails in the neighbouring, slightly higher forest. At the beginning, the route leads through the quiet alleyways and streets of the village, past houses and farms, before gradually turning into the slightly elevated forest areas. Here, hikers can enjoy the fresh air, the chirping of birds and the tranquillity of the surroundings, far away from traffic and the hustle and bustle.
The paths alternate between well-maintained, partly tarmac sections and near-natural forest trails, which provides variety and makes the hike interesting for both leisurely walkers and more ambitious hikers. Along the way, shady spots or small clearings invite you to pause for a moment, enjoy the view over the rolling hills around Brunnadern or simply take in the tranquillity of nature.
There are no refreshment stops directly along the route, so it is advisable to take some provisions with you for a short break. If you would like to plan a cosy rest stop with food and drink, you will find one in the nearby village of Wellendingen. The result is a circular hike that harmoniously combines idyllic villages, quiet forest sections and open landscapes and is ideal for anyone who wants to spend a relaxing day in natural surroundings.
