The first part leads along little-used farm tracks and footpaths between the districts of Schonach and Hornberg. The second part follows the Westweg Pforzheim-Basel long-distance hiking trail, which is particularly popular in summer. The hike is not strenuous, but at approx. 19 km it is a longer tour.
