Wegebeschaffenheit
This winter hike combines tranquil moments in nature with Black Forest tradition and leads through a landscape that unfolds its very own magic in the snow.
The starting point is the Rinken hiking car park. From here, the trail leads down into the valley. An almost fairytale-like atmosphere unfolds between centuries-old Black Forest fir trees. Several babbling brooks, which make their way through the snow-covered landscape, accompany you on the way to the foot of the Seebuck. There, nestled in the wintry silence, lies the Feldsee lake - mysterious and impressive at the same time. Nearby, the traditional Raimartihof invites you to take a cosy break in its rustic Black Forest parlour.
Refreshed, the tour continues towards Kunzenmoos. The route continues via Rotwasser to the small Marienkapelle chapel at the Zipfelhof farm, which is somewhat hidden along the way.
Through the Eschgrundmoos and past the Silberberg, the view finally opens up towards Oberzarten. Here, nature and culture come together in a pleasant way: the Mathislehof cheese dairy, the chapel at the Altenvogtshof and, a little later, the Kesslerberg with the Black Forest Ski Museum, which offers exciting insights into the history of winter sports in the region.
The trail leads along Erlenbrucker Straße through Hinterzarten. When the church "Maria in der Zarten" appears in Hinterzarten, the hike is almost over, as the tour ends just a few steps further on at the railway station.
A varied route that harmoniously combines quiet forest passages, wide meadows and living Black Forest tradition - ideal for anyone who wants to experience the cold season from its most beautiful side.

Wegbeschreibung
You start at the Jägerheim on the Rinken. Nearby, you can park your car in the Rinken hiking car park. Starting from the Jägerheim, walk a short distance down the road and turn left onto a small forest path. Surrounded by centuries-old Black Forest fir trees, follow this path to the foot of the Seebuck, where you will also find the Feldsee lake and the Raimartihof farm. On the way there, you will cross several streams. Once you reach the traditional inn, you can treat yourself to a break in the rustic Black Forest parlour.
With fresh energy, continue towards Kunzenmoos. On the way there, you will pass the beautifully snow-covered Waldhofwiese. At Kunzenmoos, head towards Rotwasser and then turn right. A few metres after the crossroads, you will come to the Marienkapelle chapel at the Zipfelhof farm, which is located on the left-hand side a few steps away from the main path. Now continue through the Eschgrundmoos, past the Silberberg to Oberzarten. There you will find the Mathislehof cheese dairy on your left and the Altenvogtshof chapel on your right. At the next junction, turn left onto Erlenbrucker Straße. After a large bend to the right, you will reach the Kesslerberg and a few metres behind it the Black Forest Ski Museum. It's worth taking a look at the history of skiing in the Black Forest.
