Not far from Germany's highest brewery is the starting point for the "Rothaus" - "Birkendorf" cross-country ski trail. Connoisseurs who love not only the art of brewing but also panoramic cross-country skiing trails are in the right place here.
Author's recommendation
If you follow the source of the beer aroma, you will arrive at the "Rothaus" brewery. The brewery inn serves regional delicacies and, of course, the brewery's own beer.
Directions
You enter the connecting trail directly at the ‘Hüsli’ local history museum. A gradient of 170 metres in altitude over 7 km allows you to run relatively effortlessly in the direction of "Birkendorf", but you should not underestimate the ascent back to the starting point.
Alternatively, the connecting trail can also be started from the car park at the cemetry in "Birkendorf" (here you run a section on the "Birkendorf Bergwiesen" trail) or in the middle of the trail at the "Langenstein" car park.
