This ski tour is characterised by a decent length of over 20 kilometres and is therefore more suitable for experienced ski tourers.
However, if you prefer a more leisurely approach, you can use the Mösle and Schwinbach lifts in Menzenschwand and then the Hofeck lift in Bernau with a day ski pass for the Feldberg lift network to reduce the number of metres of ascent.
This leaves you with enough energy for the 1,600 metres of descent that this tour entails. The descents from the Spießhorn to the Krunkelbachhütte, from the Herzogenhorn down to Bernau-Hof and finally the descent from the Hasenhorn to Todtnau are the absolute highlights of the tour.
