From the Zähringer Eck, you hike up to the Kandel. There is a great view from the Kandel pyramid and, weather permitting, you can also see the Alps. Via the Hoschgetkreuz you reach the Gummenhofhütte, where you can also stop for a bite to eat. The Kandelhöhenweg trail leads you downhill through the forest. You return to Sägendobel via Brandeck and Felsenhof. The Haldenweg trail leads via the Steingrubenhof and the Scheuerwald forest back to St. Peter.
