Winter hiking trail Schönwald No. 8
Author's recommendation
At the starting point, it is worth visiting the Bregquelle, the source of the River Danube.
Directions
From the Martinskapelle, follow the path past the Kolmenhof inn and the source of river danube, downhill towards Furtwangen. At the Piuskapelle (Katzensteig-Alte Schule public transport stop), turn left and follow the road up to Furtwänglehof. From there, the path leads you to the left. Over the Briglirain and past the source of river Elz, you return to the Martinskapelle chapel.
Please follow the winter hiking trail sign number 8.
Note: At the Katzensteig-Alte Schule bus stop, you can join the trail in the direction of Furtwängle. This would also be your end point of the tour. The actual starting point is therefore your intermediate stop, with a refreshment stop.
Equipment
Good footwear and clothing suitable for the weather are essential for a wonderful hiking experience in winter. Drinks and backpack provisions are recommended for all tours.
