Farmer Siegfried is now the third generation of his family to cultivate orchards. Apples, mirabelle plums, cherries and damsons from the fertile vineyards around Ettenheim are refined into fine schnapps in the Reinertoni distillery.
The Jerusalem artichoke schnapps, also known as Rossler or Kartoggel schnapps, is particularly popular with locals and visitors alike. As a sweet potato tuber, the plant with yellow flowers grows in our high altitudes in Schönwald.
